How to Make a Dinosaur Skull Headpiece

For Lost Lands I wanted to create a unique kandi piece that would challenge my skills. I don’t normally work on large projects but this idea I could just not let go. I went through months of planning and trial and error before coming to this final design. It’s still a work in progress and I make adjustments and changes from year to year. I am very excited to share this amazing kandi project with you.

Lost Lands 2022 @ Legend Valley – [Festival]

Lost Lands Music Festival 2022

I had an amazing time at Lost Lands. This vlog covers my Thursday pre. We made it early to the pre-party and got a great spot on the rail! Definitely an experience I won’t forget. Watch the video to check out my adventures.https://youtu.be/0X1OKelqR3M?si=MqoGgzsenmtTWTU1

Our Friday was jam packed with sets from Level Up, Riot Ten, Wooli, Svdden Death, Excision, and Reaper. It ended up being super cold this night so we ended it earlier than expected.

I spent most of Saturday at the forest stage taking in all the Drum and Bass I could get. I caught sets from A.M.C, LSDream, Knife Party, and Pendulum. I don’t think anything will ever top the magic of seeing Pendulum from the top of a volcano. These are the things festival dreams are made of. Year after year the forest stage has me coming back for more it’s my favorite stage.

By Sunday we were exhausted. I kept the day pretty simple by sticking to mostly the Prehistoric Evolution stage. I caught sets from Diesel, Marauda, Rezz, Excision B2B Sullivan King, Sodown, Infekt, and Stumpi. It was a great way to end the festival.

Today I will teach you how to make your very own Right Angle Weave Cuff. This is a simple tutorial with a lot of flair. 

This is a difficult stitch to learn because it was not designed with pony beads in mind. It was designed for faceted beads which interlock very easily. Because of the nature of the materials you may struggle with the tutorial. It just takes time, patience, and practice. I know you’ll get it eventually don’t give up!

Today I will teach you how to make your very own Pinwheel Cuff. The base of this tutorial is a large ladder cuff that is folded in half and secured with a criss-crossing of string. This is a design I made myself. I was inspired by how ladder cuffs would bunch up when worn with other kandi bracelets. This is what I ended up with after some light tinkering.

Today I will teach you how to make your very own Shape Cuff. This tutorial is a modification of the basic peyote stitch or sometimes referred to as the muti stitch in the kandi community. 

By strategically skipping or adding beads you can creature unique shapes. You can use this technique to create anything from a triangle or square to even a star cuff.
